well depends on what you have invented! im no expert, but ive watched others how they go about it and the way i see it is you have 2 choices....

 

1. go it alone, finance the whole thing yourself, go through the headaches and expenses of patenting etc etc, maybe end up with a product that starts earning you money somewhere down the line...maybe end up bust.

 

2. out source it to a bigger company who will work alongside you with the design etc but do the legwork with regards the other stuff. sit back and take a small percentage of every sale.

 

personally i'd probably go with number 2

course it goes without saying, it needs to be something with a lot of promise for a 3rd party to want to get involved
