urgent help needed to find chipper part

I having a problem finding a wastegate for a mitsubishi turbo, off a cummins engine, out of a Vermeer BC1000. I've been told it cant be baught seperatly and may have to buy a new turbo for at least £2,000!

 

The wastegate (blow valve) is clearly detachable and so i cant see why I would have to go to such extreme lengths.

 

If anyone can help in any way, i would be very much greatfull.

Can't you make one from an old Film canister?

 

Have a look in the web for home made waste gates or waste gate "whistles".

No offence mike but I wouldn't like to put the life of engine in the hands of a film canister but thanks anyway and cheers garth I tried phoning but no answer at the mo, I'l keep trying. Thanks for quick reply guys
