Champion Trees around the Uk

Would be nice for the members to have a chance to see what you've seen in and around our fair shores.

 

To kick off, not the biggest, widest or most venerable, but tis a champ no less.

 

Crataegus punctata at Hampstead Heath, North london.

 

 

Location & plaques, are most certainly de rigueur :001_smile:

pics in last post are of Black Apricot Prunus X dasycarpa.

pics 1&2 are Prunus subhirtella var. ascendens.

pics 3&4 are Prunus emarginata var. mollis. -Bitter Cherry

All from Thorp Perrow Arboretum & woodland garden.

pic 5 ,plaque fixed to the last tree states..that the guide is wrong, interesting eh?
