Shame, mind. Is there a replant in the pipeline?

IMO a house or estate like that shouldve had a replant done ages ago in anticipation to let the new tree get established before that one was brutalised by Mr Arbtalk. Lol

Shoulda felled it. Haha. Love jobs like that. Gob and drop. Anything being done with main stem? I.e milling?

 

 

all going for firewood, other than the slab im going to take off the bottom for a garden table:001_smile:

i would assume so. it was a TPO'D tree so im sure the tree officer would have stipulated a replant.....not in my remit though

Thats a whopper of a tree and it looks like they have a few nice other ones too.

 

Any idea on the age?

 

think it was round about 300....will count the rings tomorrow when we fell the butt

Shame it's all going to firewood. Years ago fine furniture manufacturers used to make the backs of wardbrobes out of cedar because moths don't like it or something like that, musta read it somewhere.

 

I wouldve guessed at 325yrs.
