my reason was the money, there was nothing i could find wrong with it though.. there were defects but i wouldn't have recommended removal, the house is being converted for disabled use and the people dealing with it wanted it gone to extend house that direction, local council had granted a fell so i felled.. all arisings to local yard in the area.

its always a shame to see a nice beech go down. even thought they seem more susceptible to the higher risk decay fungi (im probably wrong on that but beech seem to get meripilus more readily than other species?)
