looking good

try a overhand knot just this side of the bowline so when doing final settle you can undo and no excess slack will have crept into the knot

are your hands sore then:thumbup:

 

cheers bob. yeah hand are a bit sore. i put the krab in the eye and rapped the new core around my foot to pull the eye nice and tight.

I feed the threads from the new core through the fid,bend them round the pointed end and then pull on the rope. The fid needs to be anchored for this though.

 

Other than that pull like a mother..........

 

Lookin good still though mate,its nearly there now and the hard parts done!

That looks sweet mate,nice one:thumbup:.

 

Dont worry about the bulge to much mate they usually settle down with a bit of use.

just get it milked from eye to knot and knot to eye a few times,taper the new cores and bobs your mother's brother:thumbup:

 

I am not your mothers brother or your uncle:thumbup:

but often get called other names:blushing:
