Dont be too down if you had protection insurance they would do everything they could to wriggle out of paying. Best to reflect on what you saved on premiums and adapt your working practice if you can. I keep a fund for these type of problems my self insurance fund I call it no problem getting it to pay out.

unlucky mate hope you get well soon.

i nearly got income protection a couple of months ago, sorted out a plan then went through the phone interview with a nurse (about 45 min) told them all my injuries in the past and the things i have been treated for, got the paper work for the plan in the door a couple of weeks later NOTHING that had been injured in the past was covered!!! so as i had knee, back wrist etc problems in the past if i hurt them again the policy would not cover these, wtf!! thats the weakest parts of my body so its a good chance they will injure again, i never bothered in the end and now just save the money and keep a bigger "float" in my account.

IO looked into HPI a few years ago, but with so much knackered with my body already (elbows, wrsits, missing discs, spinobifida.......)it wasnt worth the money. Extend the overdraft and drive on Jon. Hope it sorts itself out soon. Mind over matter and all that.:thumbup1:
