I was thinking about some arb going for the gob cut! then takes another saw to fell a little higher! lol, imagine that day!

Remains of a Sycamore i took down eating 7' deer fence.

While we were working in this area felled this damaged Syc, thought this fiber buckling was interesting so plunged my saw in for a cross section big fat piece of wire

David there is an oak tree on the estate that was hit by a lightning aircraft in the 70s the pilot died. They tell me part of the wing is still in the tree, i have read the newspaper report an old man in the village has got it framed and hanging on his wall:001_smile:

It's not at my site, but the neighbouring parkland.

 

Think I'll give them a call next week as I'm really intrigued.

They may however, not know anything about it
