Hi guys, ive been asked to look at a privet hedge that has patches that are dieing off suddenly, there are leaf spots on the leaves that are yellowing and dropping resulting in complete leaf drop in areas,it is working along the hedge but leaving some areas uninfected, the uninfected areas appear very healthy. No obvious signs of pests or fungus, not close to road so dont think its salt problem.Im assuming its just Fungal Leaf spot but would this cause complete defoliation of certain areas without touching other areas inbetween? Any other ideas? What is a good fungicide to treat the problem? Thanks for reading and appreciate any advice:001_smile:

Agreed but there surely are better than fading privet hedges...? I've never seen a privet hawk sadly and I'm not aware of anything else that eats the stuff (which doesn't mean there isn't anything). The suggestion was to replace with a different species - or mix - that could equally house birds, mice, insects etc. Just not tomorrow.
