favorite harness?

i had an incident the other day whilst knocking off a sizeable piece of wood, approx 8ft length and 16" diameter. i didnt do the undercut quite far enough on the back side(using too small a saw), and as a result the section tore a little as it went. it snapped me into the trunk, not so hard, but I think if i had been wearing a regular harness id have had quite a back ache the following day. as it was i was wearing a tree motion meaning the snap it gave me into the trunk was focused more towards my arse rather than the middle of my back. just another reason for going for the newer "ergonomic" type harnesses that I hadnt previously considered

:scared:Scary. Got to admit the treemotion looks very comfortable. Never know in the net 8 months or so i'll havet to buy a new harness anyway.

Well, liking my loaned Treeflex alot although the leg loops are cutting in a on the right hand side a little but that has more to do with incorrect set up I think.

 

I like the way the harness does up at the sides, it seems a lot more comfortable to me, though my Austria, which I am comparing it too, just seems so uncomfortable now a days, anyway.

I have a butterfly. It is ok but my main gripes are:

1. it loosens off after a while in the canopy and then slips down

2. it digs in to your hips when working off the side d's

 

I tried the austria duo 2 at capel and hated it! Bridge far too low - when hanging in it I was overbalanced backwards, not nice at all.

 

Had a quick go in the Treemagic as well. Liked it alot, nice and light and nice bridge position. Only concern would be it's flimsiness when supporting a saw as well.

I've had my Weaver Harness for about 10 years now. It was the first tree harness I got and the only one I've really used, not conting some rubbish when I was in New Zealand.

 

I'd like a new harness but there's nothing wrong with the one I've got. It's bomb proof, two sliding D's quick to get on, moulded to my shape, comfortable and jingles when you walk..

 

I went and tried a bunch of harnesses but just found it them fiddly in comparison. I know the weaver is a bit... "agricultural" in design but what benefits am I going to get from spangly modern design.

Thats where I am at the mo. Although I have had mine three years and there is wear on the bridge from the sliding dees.
