what is this sawpod you speak of. can one be fashioned from some rope?

Yeah and or gaffer tape. But it won't stop any potential stoppage whilst cutting though.

Use old dog collars if you have any. Or punch holes in a couple of old belts to make them fit your leg. Or pay £20 for a proper one!! Whatevers easier!! haha!!

Or just use the scabbard that comes with he saw and Clip it to your harness.
