You would enjoy this site david, i know I certainly am!

 

That tree is coming down, but we have retained a lot of old vets that most would have felled on site.

 

the owner is not keen on deadwood visualy near the house area, but this site is 16 acres so theres scope for habitat retention elswhere on site.

 

The house is amazing, used to belong to Elton john, but I couldnt care less about the building! if I owned the woods and plot without any buildings i would be happy as a pig in muck!

 

Its a shame that we arent allowed to take the arbor ecology to its full potential here, it is swarming with life of all varieties, but the grounds are being tidied and soon 2 alsations will have the run of it.

 

The deer, the yaffles moorhens etc wont want to hang around and with the amount of deadwood were clearing the diversity onsite will diminish.

 

One day i will get my own plot, and manage it my way, and live my way, a little piece of ancient woodland, managed with "inclusionality" at its very heart:thumbup1:
