Yeah. I lit a match head at the same distance with my old muzzle loader last week. Forgot to video it though :D

Seriously? one hell of a shot. Wonder what caliber - must have been close to a .50 for that kind of range...

try shooting deer when there moving through a block of timber and wont give you a look-in, after you've stalked them for an hour in rain and snow:cussing:

The video says .338, or 8.59mm. Not on in my opinion! If you want to test yourself shoot on a range at targets! Live animals should be culled humanly and at those distances there is more than a high chance of wounding the beast.

Military snipers are a different matter and sometimes shoot at very long ranges.

I agree with deerman shooting deer etc is irresponable at this range no chance for follow up just ammo for antis military snipers are there to confuse demoralise and disrupt and the intention is to wound not kill. the plains of canada africa etc may call for long shots but even the best rifle is not acurate enough to give first shot kill at that range

vduben that round would have been a 300 weatherby magnum,or 300 winchester magnum . As fora 22-250 the bullet is too light to have a tragectory for a mega long range shot cross wind would blow it all over.
