Come on guys, who is gonna be the first to produce a chainsaw protective proper climbing shoe. How hard would it be really to take a pair of them acu's or scarpas or whatever and bung some chainsaw protective layers in them. I'd buy them befoe they had chance to make a box for them. Anyone else agree?

No heavier or chunkier than normal boots. Basically I did a very rare pruning job the other day where only silk work was needed, it was really warm and such a nice tree to jump around in that I left the chainsaw pants and boots in the van. It was one of the best days wok I have had for ages. It got me thinking that there must be a crossover, the scarpas and similar are so light and supportive and frilly and good for footlocking, all they need is some protective material in the Tongue area.
