dont climb a style but if you want to stand ontop of a log with trainers on and chop between your legs with an axe that can shave the hairs of your arm(i saw the shaven arm) then this is ok. I havent winsed so much in my life, BBB couldnt look

dont underestimate chainmail, it protects very well against impacts, even shark bites, its all to do with the way it spreads the load on impact. i would be happy in trainers with a pair of chain mail socks, but im pretty confidant with an axe so....

Why not just wear safety boots ??

 

Public perception is important when your being sponsered, how many people know what chainmail is let alone would suppose he must be wearing it

As Dean said, this was a show watched by the general public as well as trade, I didnt feel men yeilding axes in trainers gave the right impression - rusty socks or not!
