The new Pole climbing season is about to start and we're looking for people who are looking for something different, are up for a challenge and a bit of fun.

 

We welcome all new comers and are even looking at introducing a new class just for working/side spikes so you can all come and try it and still compete on equal terms.

Pete, were you at the scottish show last year when one of our Irish friends beat (unverified) the world record on his 2nd attempt?

ive always fancied a go at that......i threatened to enter a regular climbing comp for 8 years and finally did just last year....so perhaps 8 years from now!

had a go at the newark show a few years ago, first time i had worn spikes, nightmare, took me about 5 mins, royal marine sergeant tried it and gave up..... very hard work if you are new to the techniques.

My personal best was 18 seconds on conventional spikes.
