The 13 inch chain is pretty much useless. Even 15 inch 3/8 is rare but I would be tempted to try it on my 044.

A possible thing to do would be to get chain breaker and riveter and make all the chains into some more useful lengths?

I'm guessing they were all made by mistake and sold cheap to get rid of them. Cutting and joining them together would make them useful again.

I like the chain breaking idea ,50 chains that must nearly be a reel you could break them and join them and sell it off!

Other than that i converted my 14"357 to 3/8 chain as its easy to run all my ground saws on the same chain and files and have not noticed any real differance in performance!

The 260 will be fine with the 3/8" chain on those lenths of bar.

As for having to add 2 links you can always grind a little off the heel of the bar so the chains will fit.

Wider kerf but less teeth in contact with the wood.

Its only going to cost the price of a rim sprocket kit or maybe just a rim to try it out.

Heck if it lacks a little power a muffler mod will fix that.
