and from previous threads few of us on here can tell or even have the comprehension of builders bags and their variations in size volume...

Is that why you still sell logs by the "one ton dumpy bag" Bob, as you can send anything out and its ok?

 

I know this subject is a little repetative, but if i ordered a one ton bag of logs off you, i would expect a ton of logs to be dropped off!

I've gone through the who for bags process in the last month and there are lots around but most require large minimum order quanities. Below is an extract from a post I made a couple of weeks ago - worth checking them out as they don't have large minimum order quantities and pricing is good also, two ticks in my book!. Im buying bulk 1m3 vented and 06m3 builders bags from them - first lot arriving this Wednesday.

Gent there is called Hamish (01382 823824) who is very helpful and they don’t have large minimum order quantities that others apply."

If only, it's like trailer load, tipper load, pickup load and ton bags, all available but none of standard quantity. It's amazing how many people sell ton bags of wood containing probably 300kg around here.

I have been trying to get log suppliers to change over to selling by bulk for some time now. Unfortunately, many traders find it "easier" to sell in what they believe the customer understands.

 

The first hirdle is to educate customers, and get them to understand that buying by "load" or "ton bag" etc is leaving them open to "variations" shall we say.

no its not ok, my .75 m3 bags are at £55 and standard .5 m3 are at 40 then probably £45 for winter.

just sell per bulk bag !as timber weight varius that much any way as bags do, ,& work off an average weight per bag
