So here it is, my first attempt. Ive got to get smaller washers so the bolt heads will sit in the countersunk holes and possibly a coat of something.

I did this one for myself, but just wondering what sort of money is it worth asking for others like this it if i were to start selling them?

looks good mate i found robd's idea of using plug cutters works well to hide the bolts, work out how much time you spent making and milling it depending how far you go plaining it and sanding and adding a finish must be worth at least £200 depending what wood you used:001_smile:

The tree was at my Dads next door neighbours in open parkland. It collapsed over the years due to the main stem rotting. Eventually i got the job of clearing the remains about 2 years ago. The tree was around 240 years old so was a good size and many of the limbs, of varying quality, were 20-30" in diameter.

This bench is from one of the logs that has started to decay at one end, hence the slight whitening on the right side of the bench.

stunning bench 18 stoner..... i would say around the £260 mark, due to the wood you used..... could you not use wooden plugs to put it together ? the metal bolts are not easy on the eye. nice design....

thank you for showing use
