Hey chaps. I'm looking at a used Husky 242xp that's for sale locally to use as a light ground saw. Obviously it's quite old but it doesn't look like it's been used in the trade. It looks to be in great condition.

 

How much do you think it's worth roughly?

AWESOME saws imo, Although they are old now, id of thought 180 would of been maximum for great condition one these days,

 

 

 

Not that im massively well up the price of old huskys :laugh1: just my opinion

Yeah but no but yeah but 242XPs have a serious problem collecting me!

 

Mine was free:001_smile: cost me a piston, starter spring and a rope.

I did wonder when you pulled me up for it being 500 rpm low lol

 

The 254 is a decent saw, Most of the Huskys run only 1 ring so show low compression quicker than the Stihls with 2 but £10 for a new ring can have them running like a champ again.

 

1 ring = less friction = faster saw :thumbup:
