I found these photos today whilst having a clear out some are nearly 7 yrs old ish. ISA comps were 2006 Scottish and Welsh opens. Will hope to be re-entering this year maybe if i get enough free time. :thumbup1: Crane dismantle on a Beech in Earlham Park Norwich (2007), Lots of people as we had to close the main University drive so only had 3 hours to complete the job.

The Poplar job was done in 04-05 i think. Tony Sorenson is the handsome guy in the red jacket:001_tongue: (his first year at MJ maybe?). At Alby Craft near Aylsham, First time i'd ever used a speed line.

Tony is the wee guy in the red and blue jacket in the poplar pics

Indeed I am - chipdonkey duty. Forgot about that! Couldn't have been my first job though cos I remember getting sent up the second one, not enjoying it at all, swearing at everyone and felling the top third(?) out cos I didn't want to go any higher!

thats how you get good tony, a bit of a wobbler can save a lot of work when it hits the deck. i put 60 feet of pop into a back garden in Glasgow one day, the lad i was climbing for couldnt look, i was 7 high beside a tenemant at the 60 foot was above me, i was bricking it, it landed perfect, except i put a washing pole straight to Australia never to be seen again, then it was a few big lumps off the stem and then bounced a pulley off a huge cherry tree and the pulling rope out the gate and onto a mog another 60 feet beside the first bit, JOB DONE! ha ha, He had a grand on it the silly fool, if we hadnt done it big we would of still been there lowering bits over nieghbous gardens:sneaky2::biggrin:instead he went for his botex and lifted it out in lengths.:thumbup1:
