just do it you. will learn from it ,look @ it as your getting paid to learn your trade ,if it takes 1, day or 2 ,days your getting paid for ,go for it ,just take it steady @ your own pace job will be fine :thumbup1:

Just cos we could have it done in a day does not meen YOU have to, put 500 quid on it inc grinding and do it, go slow make no cock ups and learn from it, you will be fine

i will sub the grinding out as i do to all the stumps i get might be able to do it in 2 day like woodpicker and ukminch said. i think i would like to put a fair price on it, would like to learn off the tree rather than make a nice profit

i could sub in someone witch i was thinking about till it was just pointed out i would not really learn form doing it this way

mite have to work for less money to get good experience and hope i learn quick and get quicker as the first day goes on

Nice one, I'd use the cheapest board you can find!!! Hardboard, chipboard, ply doesn't really matter. Your only using to stop little mistakes or stuff brushing past it. Any bigger stuff and your going to start destroying the frame anyway.........

You don't learn by not doing it. I expect that every member here, has had a nightmare with conifers, particularly laylandii. Always add an extra day to the price and explain to the cliant that this is the top price and if you get it done quicker the price will come down. Most people are happy with this.

We keep a photo record with times and costs so that we can match the tree to the photo, which has proved to be helpfull to customers
