mid line anchor on a footlocking prussic, picked this up from the lads at the asia pacific in auckland a few weeks ago.great for accessing staions on the way up to anchor point without having to set ropeguide, anchor points etc can be done mid air but ideal with a small swing into the crown and lanyard on then change config for mid line anchor, definately a good one to practice on the ground a few times before using in the tree.enjoy

it seems a lot of work, looks nice though:thumbup1:, if i had to do something like that i would just put a strop around the tree, stick on a pulley and use it as a redirect.:001_smile:or am i missing something, i usually am lol

I think I'm missing something too, why not just put a spike and crab on the main line ?

You cant climb off a marlin spike in tcc, you would need two alpine butterflys, one in each leg.

Stevie, the point of a inline anchor is that the access line is set to a high anchor point. If you tied in to the tree at a low height, you get a low anchor point. With the inline system, you get the advantage of a high anchor without having to climb all the way to the top of the tree.

If the Revolver were clipped straight to the Petzl OK, that would allow the blue line and dyneema sling to be left out. Would this still satisfy the purpose? It might not allow changeovers will suspended though.

Blue line is the footlock strop, so its there already.

No to suspended changeovers, as you say.

What you can do is have a small ali ring spliced into the footlock strop, if you use inline anchors a lot.

Ah yes - I see what you mean, Peter. Thanks.
