Steer clear of the merc vito .Just sold an 04 plate unbelieveable rust otherwise excellent with the 150bhp.

The Vito's are terrible for rust I agree, I wonder why though as the car side of the business seem to last for ever.

the other issue with the discoveries is the change of law meaning you cant transport kids in the side facing rear seats anymore. the later models have front facing ones, but only TD5 onwards i think.

If you buy a vito around 06 in metallic they seem to fair better. It could be the white ones are made in spain the posh ones Germany. The cars were rot boxes around 98- 2000 seem much better before and after

If two of the six a mid sized/juniors, then a 2nd hand Merc E class estate is a nice possibility, diesel. But no room for luggage when the rear seats are in use. Watch out for rusty ones though.

I've recently bought a LWB vauxhall vivaro and I absolutley love it.

6 seats in 2 rows, bulkhead, then a large loadspace in the back. 140hp, 6 speed, it returns around 30 - 35mpg.
