Anyone got any experience of doing tree surgery in Spain?

Someone I know has bought a holiday villa in Moraira, Costa Blanca and has two pine trees he wants felled.

Do the Spaniards have TPO's like we do? Do you need permission to cut trees down?

Hopefully someone on here will know, or works in Spain.

i think you need permission my mates mum lived near there and wanted to take a pine down but wasn't allowed

would check before dropping as they can be a bit keen on fines

He will need to speak to the local town hall , like we do here. Think he shouldn't have to much problem though. I've done work in Menorca and a season pruning planes near Bilbao.

Thanks for your replies.

I had contact with a tree surgeon in the area who said the same thing about asking the local Town hall, so have passed the info on to my friend.

moving to seville for 10 months at the end of august, is it worth me looking for a job in tree work out there? please help

cant hurt to try but if its anything like working in italy it may take you the whole 10 months just to get the paperwork you need to start work. i would say if its only 10 months then go for a kooshy job in a bar or something:thumbup1:
