chipper size?

looks not much bigger than my truckman top?

I will try and get a pic and compare. any idea of size? eg. height of the top at the back?

 

Well i dropped off some full loads to a local farmer and filled ton seed bags...it holds four and a half of those:scared:... I cant think of the exact size at the mo but wouldnt want it any bigger!!!

Bet you wish it was a tipper!!

 

Yeah mate....definitely...especially when a job takes a bit longer than expected and you know there's a full load of chip to shovel off....still it makes up for it when you can get off-road and chip and its quite small so will fit in places where tractors etc wount...so swings and roundabouts

so just because you have a 6" chipper you don't necessarily (not spelt right i'm sure???!!) have to put 6" stuff in it? it just handles the smaller stuff quicker, am i right?

 

You can chip a lot more smaller pieces of timber at the same time in a 6" chipper than you can in a 4" (i.e. the tail end of a branch). And if you're after a small chipper for a low price I would go for one of the new Greenmech Eco-Arb machines - they've got a 6x9" aperture instead of the 5x5" that you get with a petrol Timberwolf. Also, the petrol Greenmech comes with a 27hp Kohler where as the Timberwolf has got a 20hp Honda. Don't think there's much difference in price either.
