Yeah mate....definitely...especially when a job takes a bit longer than expected and you know there's a full load of chip to shovel off....still it makes up for it when you can get off-road and chip and its quite small so will fit in places where tractors etc wount...so swings and roundabouts

I will try and get a pic and compare. any idea of size? eg. height of the top at the back?

 

Bigger the better in my book, if your chipping smaller stuff the machine will be under less stress. Have at this link (sorry about the sound though)

having said that though the old Hi-lux pulls it a treat.....with your truckman top you will have trouble getting in to shovel the chips out...mine is open on top...you would get very hot too as the chips heat up...a grain shovel makes the job easier...or my mates tipper lol

 

Try a garden fork mate, then clean the last out with a shovel, just experience speaking:icon14:

Thought about that as it's fiberglass but if you look at it its quite solid and curves over at the top , so if you cut it open just inside the curve it will give the 3 sides some ridgidity??!!@

I will do it and post some pics, if it goes wrong it's only a mistake that cost's me a tenner.

I started the same way (Navara not Hilux though) and initially bought a 4" arboreater. Great piece of kit but since going to the 6" petrol Entec I haven't looked back. Shovelling the chip is a pain in the ass but it only takes 15 minutes to empty.

 

Just bought a 130 land rover so after 2 years of it, no more shovelling for me

I use the hi lux tmiberwolf combi. Got ifor williams top and cut the rear roof section out ideal for chipping into:icon14:

Do you find that it gets overloaded when nearly full and when u drive home you are looking up at the sky?? haha
