Just wondered what you all have out there?

I'm meeting the local farmer on the morrow to see what he might have for me to use as a starter site, ie somewhere to put wood chippings (corner of field ,wood?)logs (barn?) somwnere near where i live?

what should i look for?

Preferably somewhere within woodland.

You can put a leanto up with telegraph poles easy enough.

I know you can get away with quite a bit within woodlands, ie forestry.

I dont know how you would stand for paying rates etc with just a normal yard.

Something i would recommend is to "pay rent" dont ever "do favours" etc to pay for you're yard...it never works in your favour and you always get called on when u dont need it and it can potentially lose you jobs and money.

cheers for the info was thinking of the free firewood thing as payment , but he might use a cord a week (he lives in a big farmhouse, and i mean big!)

Yeah just be careful mate and get as much as you can in writing, even if you are freindly with this guy anything can happen in the future

Good luck though
