Hi all, I need to hire a laser ace for the PTI course in october any knowledge as to where and how much if this is doable?:001_huh:

I'd agree with that - there are only a tiny proportion of marks available for getting the hieght right. Like the monkey says, don't waste time fiddling with gadgets, get your eye in! Remember to indicate any estimations in your records, otherwise it will be assumed that you have measured precisely.

did mine recently and just used the old eye to estimate the height- you could even put it down in height bands eg 10- 15m , 15-20, 20+etc. it's not worth hiring all that stuff. just take your time and give each tree a thorough inspection. just make sure you know your theory etc as this is an exam preparation course, it won't teach you all the theory knowledge you need to pass.
