I need refresher training, I did my NPTC qualifications back in 1994 on my little plastic ID card I have CS20, CS21, CS22, Certificate of competence to climb trees and perform aerial rescue and also Certificate of competence in the thorough examination of Arboricultural Equipment.

So, what refresher training is normally recognized to be the most appropriate and how much would the cost be?

Thanks.

If I were you, I would book some assessments from the new CS suite, and not bother with the training per se. Not too sure which units would be the most appropriate, possibly CS40 and 41?

get in touch with your local college or training place and ask them what they recomend, i dont think you need to do all the tickets again, more of a day with a instructor going over them all so youre up to date?:confused1:

I did a standard setting course with treevolution. It covered CS 30,31,32, 38,39, 40 + 41. I pull that certificate out of the bag only when someone tells me my original units are a bit old and I need refresher.

There's another thread about refresher training too! I can deliver refresher training for 30, 31, 32, 38 and 39 if the numbers make it viable.

PM me if you need some more information.

Cheers,

David.

Does taking another/additional unit not count as eligible for refresher...if you understand what Im trying to say? Its an alternative way of approaching it maybe?

Can't you get Terry McGovern to assess you for a load of tickets in one go? Or do you want the actual training again too?

Yeah I called Terry, he said I need to find out exactly what the local authority wants in regard to refresher training, they said they will get back to me tomorrow.

Refresher can only really cover the units you already have. Sound like you might need to do some extras! 40 and 41 woudl be good, and (like mentioned above) that should act as a refresher for all the other units as you will be picked up on any faults you have developed in your basic skills.
