Anyone know about the circuit and what this resistor does?

I assume it drops the voltage to the motor of the feed rollers. Like the fan speed in the car it uses large resistors which always seems to fail.

The rollers are driven by hydraulics, what the circuit does (I believe) is actuate a valve which directs the hydrauklic fluid back to the tank rather than the rollers - in the same way the panic-button (if fitted) stops the rollers.

Hi Guys, to open up an old thread I could do with some info if anyone has any ideas. I have a 2001 Entec/Timberwolf 35/150 H. The feed rollers suddenly stopped working the other day, so I bypassed the anti stress which got the rollers going again and we could finish the job. Plugged wires back together next day and roller feed was working fine.:001_huh: It doesn't look like the anti stress is working though, we were shoving reasonable size diameter Rhodendendron and thorn through it. Any idea's? Thanks in advance, Ian

Got the same problem at the moment.

I need to know if it is the sensor or the no stress box, I've checked the flywheel RPM and that's seems fine. Is there any really helpful arbtalkers that if I posted my sensor and grey box to they could try in their machine to see what bit is broken ?

Long shot I know.

I had a problem with the new stress control fitted to my greenmech. I traced it to a faulty safety switch on the engine cover. I dont think the original stress control was faulty at all. Check the cheap easy obvious things first.

Mmm, could be a good call thanks Gensetsteve. B....y thing is working fine now. Me thinks hopefully just bad connection at switch? Just need to find out where it seems to be spitting out hydraulic oil from now...... The joys of pension age chippers :001_huh:

With regards to the leak check the spline on the hydraulic motor they can wear out. That's where mine went. Adan hydraulics will make a motor to the same spec for about £180 vrs timber wolf £450.
