Thats doing just fine :thumbup1: and looks to be a very good age.

 

I halved a very lapsed Beech hedge the other week, TO wanted them felled, I said they would flush..................................time will tell :blushing:

Dont suppose you took any pics? Let us know what happens anyway, I suspect a lapsed hedge will be fine. Can trees such as pollards/hedges be "conditioned" to foliage loss?

Is this ok? Both trees were the same, doing the other Tuesday. Street trees that had been badly managed before, cut anywhere, so we just had a few years of epicoric growth to work with!

i was spiking 19 crown lifts a day when i was 34 mate, with a vt with 8 pulleys under it metasequoia, risk assesmant spirit level poplar topping in sidmouth
