That's a perfect job. That Joe guys a joker. So long as your client calls you and asks to prune her tree. You do that, she is chuffed, tree stays, you get paid then it's good all round.

actually there wasn't, not much growth internally the last guy skinned it out years ago, was going corkey in old age and getting out far enough on many of those branches was pushing my luck.

 

shall return when it leafs up for another shot as its so local to our yard.

dean, this post, would it be possible for you to check on this occasionally for a cluster of tripe fungus? I believe the poor response is due to this wound fungus.

Heres a veteran Ash i reduced today. The intersesting thing is that the estate manager said that the victorians grafted a piece of weeping Ash onto the stem 100yrs or so ago? I believe it was maybe an old weeping ash that through the years has seen multiple break-outs and reverted growth has eventually dominated? But who knows? It was an interesting tree anyhow:thumbup:

Nothing exciting but got a new camera so up it goes, birch reduction and a bit of a crown thin; cavities have started to form where someone had loped of some branches from the main stem. The costumer wants to keep it for as long as possible so took a bit of weight off nothing drastic.

Nice reduction. Good natural shape maintained and not over thinned as many people make the mistake of doing!
