think as long as its in the vehicle its ok, once on site its gotta be on a lockable bund or kept in vehicle, although we transport the fuel/oil cans etc in a builders trug bucket in case they ever leak, might be wrong though,

when working on behalf of the rspb, we wernt allowed to carry saws/fuel/anything with fuel in inside the trucks, they had to be seperate from the drivers compartment, for us it was on roof racks on the landys, others were in the buck of a crew cab

my van is a panel van john, and i worry about the fuel, 2 gallons of petrol in an accident could be very dangerous for others. I want to know what the facts are and if there is anything on the market that the safety guys recommend.

in a trailer you can carry 20 gallon in approved containers without extra signs and extinguishers ect

i guess same in a van but think it may have some ventilation issues but dont know for sure sorry

i have a fuel box on the truck & just fuel ,got hole in the bottom incase thers a leakage

think you got it wrong you should take measures to not leak fuel everywhere rather than not making a mess in the box:confused1:
