rules on transporting saws and fuel

my van is a panel van john, and i worry about the fuel, 2 gallons of petrol in an accident could be very dangerous for others. I want to know what the facts are and if there is anything on the market that the safety guys recommend.

in a trailer you can carry 20 gallon in approved containers without extra signs and extinguishers ect

i guess same in a van but think it may have some ventilation issues but dont know for sure sorry

i have a fuel box on the truck & just fuel ,got hole in the bottom incase thers a leakage

 

think you got it wrong you should take measures to not leak fuel everywhere rather than not making a mess in the box:confused1:
