better than jumping out scaring the climber haha, once was sat up a scots pine having a breather..next thing a kestrel landed 3ft away along the same branch, i jumped and so did the bird

Hate climbing palms! Can understand starting at the top. The fumes build up under the skirt of fronds just like they do if you have used a saw in the chipbox.

A lot of guys will just use loppers to avoid getting gassed out.

As palms grow using straws as building cells, the use of spikes in my opinion is fine especially on Coco's palms.
