I was thinking about disking up some elm to use as outrigger plates... might be a bit heavy though.

 

I use some short lengths of 8x3 joists at about 2ft long they work fine Matt,

 

Discs might split in two possibly ??

That's why I was thinking elm...

 

The joists sound good.... sure I can find some somewhere.

that giraffe jobbie looks handy, heres a couple of pics of a mewp we hired for £150 per day lastyear, 1st pic looks almost landy mounted haha, the brash was only going round corner so piled trailer up high, oh laddo dropped a small block of oak onto the hydraulic leg pipe and snapped the union clean off. peed hydraulic oil all over my hiflexes, thought i'd wet miself at first- lovely n warm..
