I suppose you could, I probably am not going to especially as the ditch will collect the water and then concentrate it down the slope possibly increasing erosion rather than run off the edge in a more random fashion.

If time and money were no worries then bank I am working on actually has a wall down to the road. Would take some time but it would be great to reinstate it but alas I am both short on time and money, and ultimately it is a tenanted farm, so would be foolish to put my time and effort into a vanity project such as that when I have more blackthorn to tango with..

I apologise,  I  blew the photo up and what I thought was strong was a thin branch on a loop with the sun shining on it 

 

But I couldn't see any crooks !
