I've got a 74 plate Hilux which has got 3k added in a month. Impressed with the mpg out of the box.  29 not towing and 22 towing a 3150kg Ufkes chipper. Pretty well all on the cruise control. Bit agricultural in some ways compared to V6 Ford but it has done the job so far! BTW, 2.8 diesel, 4 banger.

Not on your list but I have a 71 plate Nanara Nguard . Few problems innitially but fixed under warranty ( 5 years ) . Re desighned turbo pipe . The original wheeped oil causing sensors to fail . All good now . It should have been on a re call but I never got the letter .

i had a DMax, tbh hated it. Looked good but wasnt particularly good at much else.

Got a dodge ram now. Love it. Does everything effortlessly.

Only down side is poor MPG. But 5.7 V8 so to be expected!

Actually, it seems that my Hilux is a 2.4. I too, are surprised!

These double cab trucks all seem like they tow well, until you tow with something better. My Ineos Grenadier hauls 3.5 ton like it's not there, but even new defender/disco/range rover, cayenne V8tdi, American pickups as mentioned.... you go back to the 4pot trucks and it's no competition

I agree. I had a V6 Ranger at GreenMech and that was a better ride and more/smoother power delivery and a great gearbox. The Toyota is a tad agricultural but it works well enough. Ineos did tell me that fitting a taco wasn't doable which kind of kippered that idea of towing etc!
