OK, it seemed like that you were attributing one accident to the change in safety systems. I agree that sometimes safety goes over the top when it hinders production for basically zero benefits. Ive seen a fair few near misses and its been experienced guys just having a bad day. If a safety device allows them to go home in tact then tbh I find it hard to argue against having it in place. I do  ,if it was a good idea it wouldn't have been broken or placed in a position where it could of been damaged,

But that change of A bar was a major thing , where the hse said u have to have the infeed chute further down and further away from the rollers makes it a pain ,

Should of kept the a bar as I cant see how long the wiring would last in some of these coastal locations .

U cant mitigate idiots and badly maintained machinery.
