Vehicle & plant check app-what’s everyone using?

As above, I’m looking to simplify daily vehicle & plant checks. I’m struggling to find a decent app that will do a mixture of plant and vehicles/trailers, we aren’t running many vehicles but keeping it all on paper is a bit of a headache (plus they ALWAYS get lost!) 

 

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

not an app but we have a whiteboard in our yard with tools ,vans and plant on and then the relivant info like clean,grease sharpen etc and we just date it when its done ,works well for us

Cheers Andy, it’s more aimed at a way of documenting the daily checks and keeping a record of it. I’ve been doing similar to yourself which works well, but unfortunately not in the eyes of auditors from larger contractors 🙄

Many websites list driver defect report pads for various vehicle types - look at Logistics UK website for examples.

For your own protection you need to be able to prove that items like lights, tyres, horn for example are checked before a vehicle is used each day/shift. This includes any plant.

There’s no decent apps, well not that I’ve found. We use google sheets and it works well, you can create exactly what you need.

Cheers, I’ve actually just downloaded the app so I’ll give that a try-looks like it’s free if you don’t need it too fancy either?
