My Unimog 417 was fitted with a Werner double drum winch from new. The winch can be operated with a wired or radio remote control. The radio control (HBC-Radiomatic) is much handier or course as I can be 100m + away from the machine and still operate the winch. The remote control is probably 20 to 30 years old and it plays up sometimes. I've had it repaired once by an electronics specialist five years ago and it's being bothersome again now, it seems that the signal isn't being received. I'm wondering about replacing it with a new system and I'm interested in any suggestions as to who to contact.  I did price up a replacement HBC-Radiomatic but it seemed very expensive.

In 2022 I met a chap at the APF, on one of the fencing equipment stands, who specialises in remote controls but I haven't got his contact details.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Cheers.

Tom.

Speak to teleradio over in Runcorn

They're the importer & distributor for Teleradio & Akerstroms.

Think the last 4 button I got was 312 Inc vat for the complete system and remote

We do a radio remote for chipper feed. So you can feed a chipper from the cab of excavator and control of the rollers. I'll ask who makes that.

That Tele-Radio above is what I use on my crane winch but I was told not to get the handset wet!  I'll need to check out the model number.

If it was now obsolete T60 they were blue, yeah avoid getting them wet.

The yellow ones are better and to change the battery you need to remove the whole rear cover not just a little cover.
