My adhd and impatience doesn’t allow me to wait for these things lol I was told the muffler mod was fine to do regardless of tuning but I want my saw the run and cut the best it can so I was just curious to see what other people have done, I’m about to buy a tachometer but it’s brand new so it’s gna be running at factory settings, just wondering on other peoples opinion..

Rob at Chainsawbars.co.uk did a great video about retuning these little echos, complete with low/high tach numbers and settings.
You may also need the special echo tool to make the adjustments rather than the little orange screwdriver.

I like that guy with bandana PPE !  ARE U IRISH TRAVELLERS ?

When I first met Jérôme, he wore full PPE.

Then one day he just gave up on the helmet and ballistics.

Here most also wear a Kevlar sleeve on each arm, I get picked up often on that.

Never used them, not part of Brit arb culture.

Jérôme wears unlined Pfanners which are just the outers of type A pants and a squint instead of a visor.

Yeh, yeh, even other French Arb guys comment on the lack of PPE but rarely have the minerals to challenge him directly.

As long as he makes me money I'm not going to insist he conforms.

If you really want to go full 'Karen' on Health and Safety, take a look at our local Lidl selling Parkside top handles to all and sundry or watch a French roofer trying to start a manky top handle saw whilst straddling a roof beam just to cut a latte.

If the muffler mod has been done correctly, good gains can be had from this small saw. Just tune it to rev out at around 13,000rpm and all is good.

Stuart - is this saw one of the old ones? Look at the serial number above the recoil cover. If it is a sticker then I may have a fix, if it is a laser etched serial then it may just need a carb tune.
