I net mine up and store them out of direct sunlight as they aren't UV protected.PXL_20250302_140351789.thumb.jpg.f7a85588eca77e1bb9313e9f1048ac42.jpg

No mate, I've 2 wood stoves in the house, so use it all myself

It's mad to think how many bags of this stuff I have that would otherwise just go to waste. Just hope some of it dries without rotting. Some of it already mouldy but then it had been sitting in a builder's bag for a while.

Now the weather is a little warmer, I'm in danger of losing enthusiasm for saving every last twig 😄

Friend of mine giving me 3 of these crates. Took about 10 minutes to fill - would have been quicker with one person levelling the bits out as they back up in the chute otherwise. Windy today so the ones on the outside should get a bit drier

Been burning some of these recently. You can pack a lot into a stove and they give out immense heat. Makes a superb bed for bigger logs if you have them. Tipping the net out onto the hearth is easier than trying to pull the bits out individually. I then just sweep the debris onto the fire shovel and chuck it in. Have tried ones stored in nets and in hessian coffee sacks. They have all dried

Burnt a net  bag full to cook some burgers etc for kids. Let them burn, cooked on the coals then extinguished the fire and ended up with some rough charcoal for the garden bio char type experiment

two results from one bag of branch logs

👍👎?

I sometimes extinguish a BBQ and then save the charcoal for future BBQs. Easy to sieve off once dry or winnow it in a stiff breeze
