So, Stihl are discontinuing the 400 and the 462 to replace with the 400.1...

 

Anyone else not that excited?

Why would you buy a Stihl in the first place?

Is that right? I thought the 362 was being dropped, but then there has been no reason to buy one since the 400 came out anyway.

 

If the 462 is dropped that would be a shame, if I won the lottery I'd buy one but I don't think I'll ever wear out my 461 so don't really need to.

Interesting.  I've heard rave reviews about the MS400.  Personally I've always been a fan of 50cc saws for light work, so 65-ish cc saws never felt enough of a step up.

66.8 cc ( to be pedantic ) and a light weight mag piston . This from a Husqvarna man but I also have heard good reports .
