Further thoughts on my branch logger (Remet CNC R120)

Hawthorn branch logs are super prime fuel

I'm having to process a load of lesser wood so when I stack up the logs, the hawthorn isn't all in one place or it'll all get burnt in a week. The bags of branch loggings aren't labelled so goodness knows what's in each one - hopefully a decent mix. We'll find out next year how they burn

Still going strong. Dealt with some hawthorn today that was probably oversized but it didn't falter. Main problem is what to do with the product. I netted it today but don't really like using them as they degrade. I've had a few fires with the minimal amount of dry stuff I found to put through it and it makes for a fantastic bed of coals for burning larger logs on. I know it will burn quick but it's an otherwise waste product and so much faster and safer than trying to chainsaw through it

Send it my way I’ll use it all 😆

We have a woodburning cooker at home - think it will be great for controlling the oven temperature by having lots of little bits to burn. I'd imagine a log boiler would also benefit from such a feed

The different lengths that the log chomper produces can be a pain, the longer ones only fit diagonally in my Rayburn,  and they burn much faster than conventional logs.

The next batch to go through the log chomper, i am going to be a bit fussier.
