Thanks for the input,

which dusty tomes would these be AC ?

.

No worries.

I got the info from Growth and Differentiation in Plants, 3rd edition by P.F.Wareing and I.D.J.Phillips.

An interesting book, but can be a bit heavy going at times. I don't mind admitting that I needed to use a biology dictionary to help me understand it in some places. :001_smile:

Nice Gano SJH :thumbup1:

Is it on Birch?

Tony, I don't believe you haven't got something pictorish to contribute.

Get them up here :001_tongue:

Or are you saving them for sommit

I saw huge numbers of Fomes on Beech last October in Spain, can't believe I didn't come across any geotropes, it's the classic n'all

.

oh i have a few here and there, though i do generaly try to focus my atention on getting images of the classic form of the species as pictorial reference. My aim to provide as detailed and comprehensive a catalouge as possible. I wouldnt hold back on you guys, I am the sharing kind!

I have that many photos I spend about 2hrs a week putting them into folders so that i can find what i am looking for quickly, but its a slow slow proscess and I just cant lay my hands on a particular image set that quickly yet.

Im still finding errors within my files from the early days when I wasnt so clued up and iD mistakes are something I do not wish to perpetuate, especialy on the eternal record of AT!

I am starting to think though that with all this sharing of these images I am in danger of repetitions at a later date!

Have alphabetical folders of fung & inverts, but outside of these are ridiculous numbers of ones either un or miss Id'd.

I hope to get to the nirvana of teutonic cataloguing, sometime around my sixties :001_tongue:

.

an anal inclination for being overly precise, exact & specific in anything & everything.

Much like our fine German cousins

.

I have to confess to trying hard to be more "that" way inclined, they are efficient and clinical but thats not a bad thing, balance i guess, they are a little dry, with the exception of mr Claus!
