why wouldnt you just leave the pallet square and put your cage on it? why make it round? seems like hard work you dont need to do

Fair point mate. Its just the shape it was when it came off the roll so i went with that.

I like these, and you can even cobble together something similar with a pallet and a bunch of 1m+/- straight sticks and a nail gun.

its just the shape it came off the rolled up roll of wire fencing you mean?
its a fair point. i need to find some duct tape strips cos the only stuff i can find comes on a round roll so i cant use it on a straight surface.

Not mine roys, photo 2 there is tarmac behind the house of a customer I had last winter. Nice yard anyway, well kept.

If you talk to paving companies you can get something similar (smaller) for nothing as the Indian paving stone that is quite commonly used is delivered in them.  Made of hardwood as well (rough bits but still) if they are the same as the ones I got.  They were a bit small for my tastes but free is free

Yeah the tile ones are great, they often have metal reinforced corners too. The ones I filled for a customer, above, arrived with hundreds of bare root laurels or other hedging in them.

 

Can't beat a good free pallet!
