True, there's a fuel stop too. This takes a few seconds after though, stop should be on the ignition ideally. Reason I know is my GX670 stops on the fuel solenoid not the ignition, investigated but never got round to fixing.

Think the solenoids are powered open from vague memory, usually a white plastic plug nearby.

 

When running disconnect that and it should stop almost immediately as I don't think it's a fuel shut off, more a jet isolator.

 

If you're not mechanically or electrically minded might just be easier to get a lawnmower place have a look, it's the same engine fitted to tonnes of lawn tractors etc.

Just look for a ride on lawnmower main dealer.

 

Stiga, Stihl, Husqvarna, Mountfield or any of the UK manufacturers.

 

They all use similar engines, if they can't fix it we're all doomed.
