Pfanner Arborist or Ventilator trousers - Summer

Hi all, 

 

I'm looking for a new pair of chainsaw trousers. I currently have the Pfanner Ventilator ones, but I'm wondering if the Arborist version are thinner/cooler? 

 

The majority of my work is ground based, with the odd bit of climbing. 

 

I am open to other brands (The Pfanner haven't been perfect, stitching coming undone/fabric fraying)

ive found pfanner arborist robust but feel a bit chunky.

stihl x flex have leg vents

advance x light are about the thinnest and coolest i know of, but only in type A

I use Pfanner Gladiator usually but this weather I would use my Cloggers . ( not CE marked but hey )

I have the arborist type a.....seem similar to other trousers I've had.....they are all hot basically! 

I did like the bear valley/sip trousers but they don't seem to make them anymore.

I've got planner trousers also.

Not sure why, but something inside, maybe the lining is itchy, particularly as I have a skin condition, varicose vein.

This was okay in the winter when I could ware leggings (thermal trousers) but no good for now when it's hot.

 

I'm thinking maybe get seamstress to sow in something.

I've had repairs done to my chainsaw trousers before and know it's a heavy material to work on. Anyone had this issue with the lining being itchy ?

What did you do about it?

 

I also bought  some chaps online for the summer they work fine aslong as you have the right shorts underneath so the straps don't chaff.
